Shri Amit shah
Hon. Minister of Home Affairs of India
After the overwhelming success of Chaalo Gujarat and Chalo India in the United States, AIANA received an outpouring of requests from the global Gujarati community to bring one of its hallmark events to India. In response, AIANA, in partnership with TV9, launched Pravasi Gujarati Parv—a grand celebration that brings successful, iconic, and celebrated Gujaratis from across the world back to their roots. With the Gujarati diaspora being the second largest in the world, spread across continents yet deeply connected to their heritage, this event serves as a powerful bridge between tradition and global progress.
First held in 2022 and followed by a dynamic second edition in 2024, Pravasi Gujarati Parv not only honors global Gujarati excellence but also serves as a vibrant platform to preserve and promote Gujarati art, culture, language, and traditions. From folk performances and traditional crafts to powerful storytelling and generational exchange, Pravasi Gujarati Parv is where heritage meets the future.
Launched in 2022, the first-ever Pravasi Gujarati Parv marked a historic moment—bringing AIANA’s celebrated global spirit to the heart of Gujarat for the very first time. Born out of the growing demand from the worldwide Gujarati community, PGP 2022 united influential Gujaratis from across the globe to reconnect with their roots. The event successfully showcased the strength of the diaspora, celebrated cultural pride, and created a platform for global recognition, collaboration, and cultural revival.
